There's no taste like home
Deep Fried Curried Perogies, Michelle Todd's exuberant one-woman
romp through the tangled web of our multicultural stereotypes,
charmed audiences at the Fringe. She's back, with a vivid, touching
comic memoir that traces her lineage back to a Jamaican dad
and Filipina mother, introduces a whole new generation when
she has a baby with her white Ukrainian/Brit boyfriend -- and
sheds a particularly funny, heart-warming glow on the nagging
Canadian question of who we are. A tangible seminar in the Canuck
mosaic, the show runs at the TransAlta Arts Barns through Nov.
