Born to a Filipino mother and a Jamaican father and raised in Edmonchuk (a reference to its Ukranian community), one-woman dynamo Michelle Todd delivers a powerfully funny performance as the girl torn between two cultures who grows up to realize the value of being Canadian. Those who cringe at overt patriotism will still come away uplifted by Todd's ability to string together a series of funny and poignant anecdotes while doing lots of dancing.
